Bow Hunting Information
Namibia’s Dry Climate Created Africas Greatest Bow Hunting Destination
Frontier Safaris Namibia specializes in the ultimate African bowhunting experience in the heart of Namibia. We have created the ultimate bowhunting sanctuary, home to unparalleled numbers of wild game species. While the most popular method of bowhunting in Namibia is out of ground blinds or tree stands situated strategically over well set watering holes, during our raining season, clients have the option to walk and stalk if preferred.
Additional Archery Hunting Information
At Frontier Safaris we pride ourselves on our supreme bow hunts. Excellence comes standard with everything we do. Our season runs from April through the end of October. The best time of the season to bow hunt is May through the end of August and on a darker moon if possible. Bow hunts will consist of a minimum of 10 hunting days to ensure adequate opportunities. Clients will need to allow for a travel day on arrival and a travel day on departure resulting in a total of 12 days. Longer hunts are available and most welcome. It’s no secret our African game can be tough so don’t take chances when it comes to equipment. Invest in good broad heads, it’s always money well spent. Contact us for our recommendations. We require a minimum draw weight of 45 pounds and a minimum total arrow weight of 400 grains but recommend 60 plus pounds and an arrow weight around 500 grains. We recommend you bring at least 12 arrows and 12 broad heads as well as a few field points to check equipment on arrival and throughout the safari. Small game species like Guineafowl and rabies are in abundance at Frontier Safaris so we suggest our clients bring a few small game broad heads as well.
