HOW DO I GET MY TROPHIES HOME?
We will make arrangements with a shipping agent to get in contact with you prior to shipping your trophies home.
HOW FAR ARE THE AVERAGE SHOTS?
The average shots range from between 200 - 300 yards for rifle hunters and 20-30 yards for bowhunters.
HOW MUCH AMMUNITION SHOULD I BRING?
We recommend about 80-100 rounds per rifle.
HOW MANY ARROWS DO I NEED?
We recommend you bring at least 12 arrows and broad heads.
WHERE WILL I BE HUNTING?
You will be hunting on our privately owned ranches and a number of ranches in the area. We have over a million (1,000,000) acres of privately owned hunting all with the best quality animals.
WHAT TIME WILL I GO HUNTING?
During the winter months which are from the end of May through the end of August. You will be woken up at 6am, eat at 6:30am and leave at 7am. During the months of March, April, September, October and November, one can expect to be woken up at 5:30am, eat at 6am and leave for your hunt at 6:30am.
HOW DO I BRING MY RIFLES INTO SOUTH AFRICA?
You will be required to fill out a SAP 520 – Temporary Import Application - form on arrival at Customs. We suggest you fill this form out before your arrival (we can email it to you on request with the instructions). In addition to the above, you will need your passport, return airline ticket, and proof of ownership of the firearm(s). For USA Citizens, an officially stamped Customs Declaration Form 4457 will be acceptable. You will also need documentation from an official government institution giving you permission to temporarily export your firearm(s). You will need a letter of invitation from ourselves which the agent will provide and a motivation letter from yourself. We recommend that you make use of Air 2000 on air2000@global.co.za.
WHAT MEDICAL PRECAUTIONS SHOULD I TAKE?
No shots are needed to enter Namibia. All hunting is done in malaria free zones. Mosquito and tick repellent is recommended as well as a personal first aid kit. We recommend that you visit your local physician for any medical questions prior to your trip.
WHAT VOLTAGE DOES NAMIBIA USE?
Namibia uses 220 VOLTS. If you want to make use of personal electronic equipment, please bring your own adapters. These can be purchased at all major international airports.
WHO WILL BE MY HUNTING GUIDE?
Frontier Safaris Namibia makes use of a number of Professional hunters. All of our guides are true hunters and will give their best.
CAN I BRING MY FAMILY TO HUNT?
Family and friends are more than welcome. Please note that Frontier Safaris Namibia is a hunting Safari and that is what we specialize in. If you have children that are interested in hunting they are more than welcome.
DO I NEED A HUNTING LICENSE?
In Namibia you need a hunting license which will be given to you on your arrival. We apply for a hunting permit a month before your arrival.
